Understanding Nonverbal Learning Disability

Nonverbal Learning Disability (NLD or NVLD) is a condition that is characterized by impaired motor coordination and visual function, leading to difficulty in understanding math and spatial concepts. More simply put, children with NLD have trouble understanding nonverbal cues. For example, if your child has problems in interpreting math symbols, or finds it difficult to socialize because of his inability to understand facial expressions and body language, he may have NLD.
